Discover the beautiful surroundings of Zwolle during your stay

Zwolle is not the only Hanseatic city in the Netherlands. Hasselt, also called 'Little Amsterdam', is only 15 kilometres from Zwolle and is just as easy to reach by public transport as the cosy Hanseatic city of Hattem (10 kilometres). Do you prefer going into nature? Then head to Het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe, where wild boar, deer, roe deer and even wolves roam. Tip: Free white bikes can be borrowed at the park entrances on which visitors can explore the park. From bike to boat: Giethoorn, the 'Venice of the North', and the surrounding National Park Weerribben-Wieden, the largest low moorland swamp area in North-West Europe, are best explored by canoe or whisper boat.
